Sisterhood

The Sisterhood of Temple Gates of Prayer is comprised of an active group of women who are here to support our congregation and its goals, through various programs centering on Jewish values, educational activities and community service.   With more than ten yearly events including our Sisterhood Shabbat, we encourage each member to find friendship and a sense of belonging.  One of the best things about us is that we are creating close bonds of friendship among our members. We network with our sisters from other local temples, and together we hold joint activities such as our annual Fashion Show.  We are very active and participate in events hosted by the Brooklyn Queens Long Island Region of Women's League for Conservative Judaism.
